Garden Path of Life

Meet Jonathan

Jonathan is a gardener wherever he wanders! His passion for gardening and his enthusiasm for history combine in all his programs & presentations. Growing and studying herbs is at the heart of his green thumb.

He has taught landscape design and horticulture classes at the adult educational level for many years.  His curriculums on herb gardening, soil, and vegetable gardening have been used by the Michigan State Master Gardener program and at the college level. As a Road Scholar (Elderhostel) instructor, he teaches the class "The Green Footprints of Lewis & Clark"

Meet Bev

Jonathan and his wife, Bev, live in the village of Vicksburg, Michigan.  Their garden footsteps have traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Asia, Central America, and Europe in the quest of horticultural learning.

Lewis & Clark

Jonathan is an authority on Lewis and Clark. He and Bev have logged thousands of garden footsteps rediscovering and identifying the plants that grow along the route originally traveled by the Lewis & Clark expedition of 1804-06.

Afternoon Tea!

Bev and Jonathan never turn down an opportunity for Afternoon Tea.  They have traveled around the world enjoying Afternoon tea.

Sipping a cup of freshly brewed tea with friends is truly one of life's greatest rewards. Add a few petite but savory sandwiches, delicate pastries; fresh home made jelly, Devonshire cream, a relaxing atmosphere and you will be enjoying afternoon tea.
